As the blistering heat rolls around, it is that time of the year when our skin starts acting up and changes completely. With excessive humidity and heat all day long, your skin definitely deserves extra pampering and protection.

The impact of summers can be quite devastating for your skin. Therefore, taking care of it is crucial. Protection from UV rays is definitely on top of the list as it is one of the major causes of skin cancer. And God Forbid, you don’t want to be looking up for skin cancer treatments; you can certainly look after your skin and prevent such skin diseases, on time.

Whether you have oily or dry skin; here are some of the basics of summer skincare, explained as gathered from the experts.

Tip 1: Set a Skincare Routine:

If you don’t have one yet; you must set one now. Maintaining a skincare routine is crucial. Follow it religiously. Also, make sure that you choose products according to your skin type. Water-based products are best for oily skin and gel-based ones work wonders for dry skin. The basics of a good skincare routine include cleansing, toning, and moisturizer, along with sunscreen.

Tip 2: Do Not Skip Sunscreen:

This is one of the biggest mistakes that a lot of people make, i.e. skipping their sunscreen. You can have the best cleanser and moisturizer, but if you are not investing in a good screen and are exposing your skin to the harmful UV rays; you are doing massive harm to it. An SPF ranging between 30-50 is great.

Tip 3: Exfoliate:

Many people state that exfoliation is not that crucial. At the beginning of maintaining a skincare routine, it is fine if you begin gradually. However, as your skin develops a good relationship with the products, adding a good exfoliator is a smart choice to make. It removes the dead skin cells and repairs your skin barrier. But bear in mind that exfoliation must be kept moderate. Once or twice per week is fine. To begin with, start with just once per week.

Tip 4: Stay Hydrated:

We know, that all of us have heard this, multiple times in our life. But, the reality is that it can have a very positive impact on your skin. You can also add fresh juices to your routine to make your skin look fresh and youthful. Detox water is also an amazing drink.

CONCLUSION

Following a skincare routine is important to make your skin look clear and youthful. However, if you have a mole or acne, you must consult a dermatologist. They will suggest a mole removal or acne treatment accordingly. Do not try to fix skin-related issues on your own. Infuse products wisely and always opt for a skin care professional if you find it hard to determine your skin type.

Take off your skin; it deserves it.
